A private and local-first note-taking app

About Seanote

Seanote is a private and local-first note-taking app that is ad-free, requires no registration, and is ready to use out of the box.

Seanote

Core Principles

Flexible Note Adding

The application supports the "Fleeting notes" feature, enabling users to quickly add notes and capture momentary ideas without the need to predefine topics or create folders, eliminating the pressure of note-taking.

Knowledge Organization

Seanote is designed to enable users to quickly add notes while also carefully considering the summarization and categorization of knowledge. Through intuitive categorization and management features, users can easily organize and summarize information, establishing a structured knowledge base for easy review and understanding of note content.

User-Friendliness

Seanote is designed with the principles of utmost simplicity and visual-driven interface to minimize the user learning curve, allowing users to quickly get started and focus on content creation.

Local Storage and Privacy

Seanote emphasizes local storage, ensuring user data is fully in their control, promoting privacy and data confidentiality.

Limitations and Future Developments

Mobile Support

Seanote currently supports desktop platforms, including MacOS, Windows, and Linux. Mobile support, including iOS and Android applications, is currently under development. For users seeking mobile support, we are actively working on bringing Seanote to mobile platforms in the near future.

Note Sharing

Note-sharing features are not available at the moment, aligning with Seanote's focus on providing a private note-taking experience. This feature is not supported in the current version.

Database Tables

Seanote does not currently support powerful database tables similar to Notion.

Kanban, Whiteboard, and Similar Features

Seanote does not currently support features like Kanban or Whiteboard-style notes. We acknowledge the demand for Kanban, Whiteboard, and similar functionalities. These features are actively planned and will be introduced in future updates as part of our roadmap.
